The Autism Model School accepts students with a medical diagnosis of autism ages 5 to 22 years old, who are citizens of Ohio. The school is ungraded and groups students according to their abilities. Procedure for Severe Weather Days: Please watch Channel 11, Channel 13, or Channel 24 for school delays or closings. If the school is delayed or closed, it will be listed under “The M.O.D.E.L. Community School”.
January 20th is scheduled for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Contact your classroom teacher to schedule yours. There will be no school for students this day. The next Board Meeting for The Autism Model School will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 @ 6:00 pm 3020 Tremainsville Road, Toledo, OH 43613. The Public is invited to attend.
The next Board Meeting of for The Autism Model School will be Emergency meeting, do to Board Member vot to change the time of the meeting to Monday, November 21, 2011 6:00 pm. It’s already time to be thinking about our 3rd annual “Meet me at Lenny’s” fundraiser. The date has been chosen for Friday January 27th from 4-9 p.m. April 28, 2012 The Autism Model School is pleased to announce that we will be hosting another prom this year. After having all of the school vote on a theme, it was decided that this year we will be doing “Hollywood Red Carpet”. Keep checking the website every month for more information on the prom.

…was established as one of the first community schools in Ohio in 1998. The original planning committee consisted of ten individuals from diverse backgrounds with one commonality…they all had at least one child with autism.
