Insurance Reform Advocate to Speak at School Event

Across the nation, state governments are passing insurance reform laws that benefit families impacted by autism. Recently, Ohio joined this movement.

Changes of this magnitude do not happen without the action of dedicated professionals and family members of children with autism.

As the director of state government affairs with Autism Speaks and a father of two children, including a teenager with autism, Mike Wasmer fits both these descriptions

For these reasons–and more–the school is pleased to announce that Mike will be delivering a keynote address at the Autism Awareness Breakfast.

With more than 15 years of experience in autism advocacy and government relations, Mike has played a key role in the passage of insurance reform laws in several states.

In 2011 Mike joined the advocacy team at Autism Speaks and has since developed the Insurance Link–a tool that helps families discover which ABA services are covered through their policies.
