- The Autism Model School has volunteers work with us in different ways often depending on the classroom you will be assigned to.
- Parents are encouraged to talk with their classroom teachers about what needs the classroom has. Teachers may ask for help on special field trips and school events.
- High school students also are a valuable resource. High school volunteers serve as peer models in the classrooms with our older students. Each semester, we welcome a few students from St. Johns Jesuit High School who work in the classrooms as peer-models.
- College students who are in education or a related field receive hands-on experience in our classrooms. Our Education Director oversees university students needing practicum and observation experience.
- We are always looking for Project MORE reading tutors. These tutors work with and help our students develop reading skills for a two hour period at least once a week.
For more information in how to volunteer please contact the Assistant Director at 419-897-4400.
