Welcome to the Hercules Classroom, a fun room to be a part of. Our students learn and have fun with many hands-on activities through a multi-sensory approach. Our students work both in small groups and in one-on-one settings. Each student has an individual schedule that they follow throughout the day.
Their day is integrated with a variety of activities that are done independently and with support from our classroom staff. The students work on mathematics, reading, occupational therapy, speech and IEP goals throughout the day. Students also work on self-help skills to encourage independence.
Students enjoy participating in activities in the gym, sensory room, and assembly room. In the Hercules classroom, the students are working hard on communication skills. They use a variety of approaches that include verbal, sign and Picture Exchange Communication (PECS).
